♥ Ceri makes... inspired by WAH nails and Sara from my team's Minx nail transfers I had a go at creating my own Aztec style nail art with some super easy to use nail art pens from Topshop. A simple design like this looks really effective and only requires a little bit of patience, although admittedly my right hand was quite tricky so perhaps find a willing friend to help!!

Lavender Hearts...
♥ Ceri makes... made some super easy lavender hearts this afternoon, a perfect homemade gift for Mother's Day next week! For this project you will need some scraps of fabric, some ribbon, a button for decoration, some stuffing/wadding, about a tablespoon of dried lavender and some thread to stitch it all together!
Simply make a template for the size and shape of heart that you would like, remember to leave about a centimetre or so to allow for stitching as the heart will be turned inside out. For a perfectly shaped heart it is best to first fold the paper in half and then cut half a heart with the fold being at the centre of the heart...
Then use your template to cut two pieces of fabric, I quite like to use a different fabric for the front and back.
Turn the fabric so that the patterned sides are facing (this is the side that you will see when the heart is finished). Then get sewing, I used my sewing machine but for a small project like this with a bit of patience you could easily stitch by hand. Leave about 1-2cm of the heart unstitched and cut small triangles along the edge to allow a neater shape once complete...
Turn the heart inside out and press with an iron to give a crisp shape. You can now fill the heart with some stuffing and a sprinking of dried lavender...
Sew up the unstitched gap in the heart to secure your stuffing. Almost done, all that's needed now is a bit of ribbon to hang the heart and a button for decoration...
Easy peasy!!

Sake me...
♥ Ceri makes... had a fun filled evening with my lovely friend Kate at a Red Letter Days YO! Sushi Sake Experience at the YO! Sushi Market Place branch. It kicked off with making our own sake cocktails, with some help I whipped up a YO! Sakuri, a yummy combination of honey umeshu, cherry blossom liqueur, lychee juice, ginger and soda.
The cocktails were followed by endless shots of sake...
...and endless plates of delicious sushi. Ten out of ten to Red Letter Days YO! Sushi sake experience.

I heart wool...
♥ Ceri makes... made a delightful discovery yesterday on a shopping trip in Bath with MummyB. A lovely wool shop tucked down Old Orchard St (...behind M&S!) called simply 'Wool'.
The shop is well stocked with beautiful wools and yarns perfect for any project, the super friendly staff will also happily order in wools free of charge. If you fancy a bit of chit chat while you knit pop along to the knitting club on Wednesday's from 6-9pm.
