♥ Ceri makes... while stocking up on cake decorating supplies for round TWO of the Balham cake off at the Wimbledon Sewing Machine Company my friend Kate and I made an unplanned trip to the adjoining sewing machine museum.
The London Sewing Machine Museum is a treasure trove of vintage sewing machines of all shapes and sizes.
Admission is free and it is open on the first Saturday of every month. Perfect for a rainy day in SW London!

A family heirloom...
♥ Ceri makes... while staying with my Granny a few weeks ago she showed me this beautiful embroidered tablecloth that my Great-Grandmother had made. Thought it would be nice to share with everyone on my blog as so much careful work must has gone into it and the embroidery is so pretty. Granny and I decided it was a shame that it was tucked away in a drawer so I expect to see it making an appearance at New Hampton Lofts for the next family gathering!

Waxing Lyrical...
♥ Ceri makes... has rediscovered the joys of candle making! I spent many a rainy Sunday afternoon creating candles with my Get Set kit when I was little... Newly inspired by my Kirstie's Homemade Home book I set about creating some rose scented candles. Instead of following Kirstie's lead with a tea cup I used some vintage glasses from a previous charity shop haul.
With a little bit of patience and an afternoon to spare you can easily make these at home too. All you need is an old saucepan and a basic candle kit (...I got mine very cheaply on ebay). The results make gorgeous gifts that both look and smell delightful!

Drink Shop Do...
♥ Ceri makes... made my first trip to Drink, Shop & Do on a lazy Sunday afternoon and can't believe I have been missing out on this lovely spot! A haven for lovers of all things vintage, crafty, foodie and arty!
I'm sure to be back soon to try out one of the craft events or even the Thursday night pin up hair, sounds ideal!
